In this captivating time travel, a spirited young woman from 2008 finds herself transported back in time to the year 1880.

Texanna Keith reluctantly agreed to help her elderly neighbor, Pearline Thompson out after the woman claimed to have boarded a train and traveled forward in time from 1876 to 1926 thanks to a magical turquoise stone.  Pearl begged Texanna to travel back in time to save her husband from being killed during a bank robbery and Texanna decides to indulge her friend.  Imagine her surprise when the unexpected happens and Texanna does indeed find herself traveling back in time to Waco, Texas in the year 1880 and meeting Pearl’s family along with her handsome husband.  On top of all of that, the townspeople seem to believe that she is Pearl.

Marshal Royce Dyson had just come to terms with the four year disappearance of his wife when a young woman who uncannily resembles his missing wife arrives on the train with claims of time travel and his imminent demise.  Royce is determined to get to the truth, but is not sure he’ll like it once he does.

Texanna is determined to save Royce from being killed in a robbery and change the course of history.  Meanwhile, Royce is determined to discover more about her and her claims of being from the future…claims he has a hard time buying until he is presented with some undeniable proof.  As the two spend more time together, each with their own mission, they begin to grow closer and discover a love they never expected.  Fate seems to have brought them together, but they have a long way to go and a lot to deal with before they can get their happy ending.

And I have to say that the journey to that happy ending, while eventful is also quite touching and enjoyable.  As a fan of time travel romances, it was nice to see one with a western setting and with characters that were both likeable and believable.  The time travel concept is this story was done quite well.

The characters of Texanna and Royce are also fascinating.  Texanna, a modern woman, is a bit outspoken for 1880 and definitely is not what the town is used to with her tennis shoes and modern phrases.  I really enjoyed watching as she tried to adjust to life in 1880 and as others tried to accept her.  Royce, a strong character, is an interesting match for Texanna and I enjoyed watching them find one another and come to care for each other.  Their story is quite touching and the heartache and ups-and-downs they experience throughout the story pulled at my heartstrings and made me care about this likeable couple.

My Heart Will Find Yours, a wonderful story full of heartache, passion, and the unexpected, is one you won’t want to miss!
